Area of Focus: Professional development; networking; access to senior leaders

AYE represents the needs and interests of young professionals by positioning ourselves as leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates for the HK community.

Engagement and Mission:

The AustCham Young Executive (AYE) is the young professionals group of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and represents the needs and interests of young professionals by positioning ourselves as leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates for the Hong Kong community through community engagement, leadership development, and networking.

We offer an outlet for professional development, best practice sharing and networking in a social setting for professionals working in Hong Kong. In addition to our regular chamber events, the AYE aims to organize both business and social events tailored specifically for members who are at the age of 35 or under.

Looking to the Future:

Our Goals

  • Cultivate AYE members' development as future leaders through various young professional development focused events and programs
  • Provide a networking platform for AYE members to connect with the business community of Hong Kong
  • Extend AYE members' networks with access to peers and accomplished senior executives from various industries
  • Promote areas of interest of AYE members within the chamber

Our Events

The AYE is looking to continue the momentum we have built with the CEO Series, by continuing to draw high calibre speakers with topics relevant to young professionals. We are building on the Chamber’s CSR platform, incorporating aspects of community outreach and philanthropy.

Some of our past events include:

  • CEO Series featuring high calibre speakers with topics relevant to young professionals including Angus Armour, CEO & Managing Director of AICD; Alan Joyce, CEO of Qantas; Justin Madden AM, former Victorian Government Planning Minister and Dylan Alcott , Founder of Get Skilled Access and more.
  • Practical skills workshops (e.g. presentation, leadership, financial planning)
  • Joint events with other Chambers of Commerce to enable cultural exchange
  • Seminars organised by AYE members
  • Social gatherings organised by AYE members

Who we are

Whether you are new to Hong Kong or already living here, we always welcome new members who are looking to expand themselves professionally and to be part of the AYE community.
