About AustCham Hong Kong

The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AustCham Hong Kong) initially started as a business lunch club in ‘downtown’ Hong Kong but, with incorporation in 1987, formalised its operation as the primary non-government vehicle for promoting Australian business interests by providing ongoing business development and networking opportunities.

Now the second largest of some 28 International Chambers of Commerce in Hong Kong, the Australian Chamber has about 1,400 members, who are representatives of about 500 Australian and local companies within the Hong Kong business community.

The Chamber seeks to:

CONNECT

Connect members with potential business partners, clients and supporting parties through matching and introductory services and a full schedule of more than 100 professional development, and informative and networking events each year at which Members are encouraged to promote their business and interests.

ENGAGE

Engage through a Committee structure, based around sectoral interests, that gives Members increased access to developments and leaders in their professional areas, and provide select opportunities for them to meet with key decision makers from Australia, Hong Kong and Macau.

REPRESENT

Represent the views, values and interests of Members to government departments, private think tanks, and other leading organisations in Hong Kong, Macau and Australia. The Chamber is an active member of the International Business Committee which meets regularly with the Chief Secretary and other senior Hong Kong Government officials.

The Chamber’s mission is to promote and represent Australian business and values, while enabling members to connect, engage, and grow bilateral relationships.
